ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1900 Detective badge, possibly from the Lincoln Park Benevolent Horsemen's Association. It is also possibly the Loyal Protective & Benevolent Horsemen's Association. It could be from a Horse Thief Detective Association as well. 

The badge is numbered 5.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/16" in height x 2-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated nickel with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a detective badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MFJL98 LDGEX7/10 SLFGEX02/13/22

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Badge shows spots of light tarnish, and some very small spots of the lettering are gone.
