ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful Scottish brooch in silver with blue and red agate that is shaped like a basket hilt sword.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8: in length and 11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver and agate.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical T-style pin with come-under locking swivel catch (catch is a replacement).

MARKINGS: MADE IN BRIT.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows light wear and has a handsome tarnish. The catch was replaced and there is a piece on the back of the pin that may have been placed there for reinforcement.
