ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1880's "Stock" oval Police badge made by hand. The badge is oval and simply reads POLICE in a seriphed font.

VINTAGE: Circa 1880's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-11/16" in height x 2-1/2" length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal one piece safety-style pin with an open catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Badge shows several small spots of wear and a light tarnish.
