ARTIFACT: This is a "Chaplains of the Methodist Church in World War II" book personalized to James Russell Marks. 

The book is accompanied by its original shipping letter signed by W.W. Peele.

VINTAGE: Circa 1948 (publishing date).

SIZE: Approximately 11-1/4" in height by 8-3/4" in width and 7/8" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed glossy paper, painted cloth-wrapped cardboard.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: JAMES RUSSELL MARKS; PUBLISHED BY THE METHODIST COMMISSION ON CHAPLAINS WASHINGTON, D.C. 1948.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The book has been very well-preserved, with no stains or tears and only a coupe of small spots of light wear to the cover.
