ARTIFACT: This is a World War II multi-piece leather CBI-made unofficial jacket patch for the United States 40th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron, India-Burma Sector, 10th Air Force, 8th Photo Group. The patch shows a P-38 aircraft flying over a land mass.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 4-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Multi-piece leather embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEJX10 LHGEX4/11 SFHJX12/07/20

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The patch shows moderate to heavy wear especially along border and an overall discoloration.
