ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1930s War Finance Corporation (WFC) US Treasury Department sterling silver lapel pin. THE WFC was set up to help fund the WWI war effort but went on to assist private businesses and fuel national infrastructure into 1939. The pin is shaped like a "W" and enameled in red, white and blue. It was made by Greenduck Company of Chicago.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 11/16" in height and 3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin, tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS: Greenduck Co, Chi., Sterling, union marks.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Treasury Department pin collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAJX14 LEEX6/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin has some small spots of light to medium wear.
