ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1950's lighter for the United States Air Force 86th Fighter-Interceptor Wing. The lighter is factory-engraved, showing the unit insignia and location Landstuhl Germany. The reverse shows an F-86 Fighter jet and a list of locations in Europe.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1950's.

SIZE: About 1-1/2" in width x 1-3/4" in height x about 1/2" in depth/thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickeled brass with factory engraving on front and back.

ATTACHMENT: To be carried in pocket to light up your smokes.

MARKINGS: Manufacturer's markings on bottom: Zbelo MONOPOL.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): There is a large loss of paint, but details are so fine it is not really a distraction.
