ARTIFACT: Ca. 1900 Pennsylvania State Fencibles Dress Cross Plate. PA State Fencibles was established in 1813 as a military organization, which eventually became part of the Pennsylvania militia and continued as a unit in the National Guard until around 1900. The plate is rectangular and has an octagonal medallion at the center with the Pennsylvania flag design in relief. The plate has a pin on the reverse and is in very nice condition.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/4" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCJX11 LX7/12 LAAEX4/16

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The plate has some areas of light to medium wear and tarnish.
