ARTIFACT: This is an old New York Life Saving Service badge from the erly 1900's with wonderful detail work by V. Benz in New York. The reverse is numbered "1383" and shows a nice maker's mark.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1900's.

SIZE: About 1-1/2" in width by 2-1/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical tongue-style "C" catch.

MARKINGS: There is a union-made stamp above V. BENZ N.Y. 1383.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large Coast Guard and related collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MIEL03 LCJJX SLDEJX3/12 SLEGEX1/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Very minor wear and moderate tarnishing.
