ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified flight helmet. The helmet is leather with a velvet lining, and has ear protectors and a chin strap as well as a strap over the visor and one over top of the helmet. There are metal eyelets in a circle at the top of the helmet where seven sections of leather meet at a point, and also in two rows at the back, resembling the lace-ups an old football helmet.

VINTAGE: Circa unknown.

SIZE: No tag: approximate size 7-1/2.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather, velvet lining, aluminum with rubber, nickel-plated brass buckles.

ATTACHMENT: Chin strap with buckle.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VAJJX10 LX4/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The helmet shows small spots of light to medium wear and has three short seam splits.
