ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified badge for the Italian Air Force 53rd Fighter Wing (Stormo Caccia). It is numbered 1141 on reverse and is by S. Johnson. The badge shows a saber at its center that is beautifully enameled in luminescent tangerine and ice blue.

VINTAGE: Circa unknown.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: 1141 S. JOHNSON.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. MEJX03 LX9/11

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows very light wear with some light tarnishing on the reverse only; all enamel is intact.
