ARTIFACT: This is a cool but unidentified patch dating to the 1930s or 1940s. It is a large red "B" with a cartoon B in front of it wearing boxing gloves. His wings are in a neat basketweave stitch different from the embroidery on the letter B. This could possibly be for a United States Navy or United States Air Corps flight school, or even for a university or college team.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s-1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/8" in height and 3-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: Tag cut off.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VEX14 LX4/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light wear and creasing.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
