ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified C.F.D. Fire Lines badge, possibly from Cleveland (Fire Department), the city in which it was found. The badge dates to between 1900 and 1920. It is unclear whether the "CITY COUNCIL" on the badge denoted their approval or distribution of the badge, or that the badge owner was a member of the Council.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900-1920.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in width and 1-3/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. CON-HH-13 LX8/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light wear.
