ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified key patented September30, 1884. It is numbered "51" on its head and also near the bottom on the narrow edge.

VINTAGE: Circa 1884.

SIZE: Approximately 2-13/16" in length and 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass.

ATTACHMENT: Hole.

MARKINGS: PAT. SEP 30.84 on reverse of head; 51 in two spots.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. MDX13 LX10/13

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The key shows some areas of medium wear and tarnish.
