This is a beautiful World War II Lafayette Field (Louisiana) lapel wing in enameled sterling silver. The wing comes in a vintage Smilo box in excellent condition.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Wing: approximately 3/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width; box: approximately 2-7/16" by 2-1/16" by 1/2"e;.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Enameled sterling silver, cardboard, velvet.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
STERLING on back of wing; SMILO QUALITY INSIGNIA on box.
