ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful World War II United States 456th Bomb Group, 15th Air Force jacket patch. The patch was made of incised leather on Capri (in Italy) and was done in a lovely aqua and midnight blue and with ochre tones. The 456th flew the B-24 liberation aircraft.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/16" in height and 3-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Incised leather.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: Faint handwriting on reverse (maybe 342 A?).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEJX08 LFIEX3/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows some light wear and minimal discoloration.
