ARTIFACT: Beautiful, scarce WWII Civilian Pilot Training (CPT) Instructor lapel wing. The center features a winged, blue enameled shield that reads: "CPT". The Civilian Pilot Training program grew out of a desire for preparedness that evolved later into the War Training Service after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 15/16" x 1/4"e;

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with a drop in swivel locking catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX11 LAAEX1/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The instructor lapel shows minor to moderate wear to the enamel, overall very fine condition.
