ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful and rare circa early 1900s or 1910s Los Angeles County, California Deputy Sheriff six-point star badge. The badge is by Chipron Stamp Company of L.A., and has an early maker mark on reverse. The badge has several engraved details, some with gold wash.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1900s-1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, gold wash, painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin, oval saddle.

MARKINGS: CHIPRON STAMP CO. L.A. CA. in oval (early mark).

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old California police and law enforcement badge collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDDJX14 L/SACGEX2/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge has some small spots of light to medium wear and tarnish.
