ARTIFACT: This is Beautiful and poignant World War I Austrian "Shock Troops" (Sturmtrupp) hat pin. The front ob the pin reads "GYOZELEM VAGY HALAL / H.BRIG 1914-1917" which translates to "Victory or Death, Honved Brigade" The pin's got a manufacturer's mark at about 5:00, which reads "ARKANZAS GESCH"

VINTAGE: Circa WWI.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" x 7/8".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Die struck zinc with bronze residues.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with over-under catch.

MARKINGS: "GYOZELEM VAGY HALAL / H.BRIG 1914-1917. ARKANZAS GESCH"
