ARTIFACT: Beautiful circa 1943 United States Army Air Forces 23rd Fighter Group jacket patch in mint condition. Chinese made in silk embroidery on silk with internal stiffener. The center of the patch shows a winged tiger with a bolt behind and a border of pink. This example shows unique details, such as the Tiger's tail curling around the lightning bolt and the Tiger's head looks more like a snake head! The 23rd were the successors to the legendary American Volunteer Group, the Flying Tigers.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/8" x 4-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk embroidered silk, stiffener, silk backing
