ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful Model 1913 Austrian pilot badge (Feldpilotenabzeichen 1913) produced in the 1930s for prior service wear by a veteran. The badge was manufactured by Rothe. The beautifully convex badge has an eagle with slightly convex wings set against a green enameled wreath with the Kaiser's crown at the top. A small white shield near the bottom bears the initials of Kaiser Franz Joseph I (FJI).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/16" in height x 2-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated and gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Raised vertical T-style pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a 1930s Austrian Air Force pilot badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-RLB-VEJX02/06 LGGEX05/14 SLABGEX02/14/23

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge has only very light wear.
