ARTIFACT: This is a circa World War I French-made United States Army (or possibly Air Service?) officer visor cap. The cap is in amazing condition, and has a wonderful bronze eagle insignia and a mustard-colored silk lining.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: No size tag: approximate size 7 1/2.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool, bronze, leather, elasticized cotton, silk lining, straw liner under silk.

ATTACHMENT: Chin strap, single screw post with square backing on badge.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Ebay MJX13 LEGEX4/13 SEJJX10/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The cap is in amazing condition for its age: some tearing in the lining.
