ARTIFACT: Beautiful, early WWI Imperial German patriotic demitasse cup and saucer. The demitasse features the patriotic German colors of red and black on white porcelain with painted gold details around the rim and handle, the center of the demitasse features an Iron Cross painted with great detail and the underside displays # "5861 4". The saucer is edged with gold detail and reads: "KRIEGSJAHR 1914-15" in the center in black, which translates to "Year of the War".

VINTAGE: Circa early WWI

SIZE: Demitasse: 2" tall x 1 7/8" wide; Saucer: 4 ??" round x 5/8" high

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-painted porcelain

ITEM NOTES: This is from an Imperial German collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-DMB-25-15 LAAEX3/15 SLABEX4/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Demitasse is delicate and shows minor to moderate use, the saucer has a small rim chip, which does not detract from the overall look. Nearly all the hand painted details remain beautifully intact.
