Description
This is a circa early 1930s deputy sheriff badge for Monterey County, California. The badge is a nicely ornamented seven-pointed star with a gilt brass horse and rider at its center. It is by Ed. Jones & Company of Oakland, California and has a nice maker mark on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/8" in height and 2-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass, gilt brass, chrome.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.
