ARTIFACT: This is a Beautiful circa 1900 Cattlemen's Convention Souvenir Badge. 

Note: In 1881 the Northwestern Stamp Company was founded in Milwaukee by Andrew Schwaab. By 1888 the company became known as Schwaab Stamp and Seal (now Schwaab Inc.) A major portion of Schwaab's early business was in the metal engraving area, where highly skilled engravers fashioned unique badges of all kinds.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately: 2-3/8" in height x 1-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt lacquered brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: SCHWAAB S&S CO. MILWAUKEE (Schwaab Stamp & Seal Co. Milwaukee, Wisconsin)

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor wear, especially on back. Overall, it is in excellent condition.
