ARTIFACT: Beautiful bronze Spanish-American War patriotic or Home Front medal of Admiral Dewey and his flagship, Olympia. The nicely detailed medal shows a pinback in the shape of the ship and reads: "OLYMPIA" in raised lettering. Suspended below, a medallion shows Admiral Dewey's bust on one side and reads: "ADMIRAL GEO. W. DEWEY" and the reverse shows an image of the ship and reads: "DEWEY'S FLAG-SHIP OLYMPIA 5,800 TONS".

VINTAGE: Circa Span-Am War

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" x 1-/8" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety style pin with "C" type catch

MARKINGS: None.
