ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful copy of "Far Eastern Cruise 1960 U.S.S. Ticonderoga CVA-14 Carrier Air Group Five". Having served during World War II in the Pacific Theatre, the Ticonderoga was decommissioned from 1947 until 1954. Between 1958 and 1963, the ship went on four cruises to the western Pacific, including the one documented in this volume. She would later see action during the Vietnam War, earning twelve battle stars in the conflict. The oversized book has both black and white and color photographs, and a full roster in the back.

VINTAGE: Published 1960.

SIZE: 300 pages; approximately 13-1/4" in height and 10-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embossed and painted cloth-bound cover, glossy paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The book has only some spots of wear to the painted area of the cover.
