ARTIFACT: Beautiful 1930's – 1940's Somerville, Massachusetts Police Sergeant custom die hat badge in gilt brass. The center shows a soldier standing with flag in hand and a city skyline in the background, surrounding it reads: "MUNICIPAL FREEDOM GIVES NATIONAL STRENGTH SOMERVILLE FOUNDED IN 1842 ESTABLISHED A CITY 1872" and the bottom reads: "SERGT".

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's – 1940's

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" x 1-7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback and stabilizer pin

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor wear, much of the gilt-plated details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
