ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of "The Mighty Eighth in Color" by Roger A. Freeman. The 8th Air Force was created in 1942 and was instrumental in defeating the Luftwaffe. This edition was published in 1992 and printed by Specialty Press, Inc. of Singapore. The book has all color photographs of personnel and aircraft at each British base, including many shots of ever-popular nose art. The history is supplemented in the back with indices on place names, aircraft names and personnel. The dust jacket has been doing its job as this book is in excellent condition.

VINTAGE: Published 1992.

SIZE: 160 pages; approximately 11-1/8" in height and 8-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Glossy paper dust jacket, cloth-bound cover, paper.
