ARTIFACT: This is a 1970s pilot wing 3rd issue for Northeast Airlines. This wing is usually accompanied by a separate "NE" pin, and could denote either First Officer or Captain, depending upon whether the top piece shows a star (First Officer) or a wreathed star (Captain). The wing is very angular, slender and minimalist.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in height and 3-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two single screw posts.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RON LABJX5/11

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The wing shows some very small spots of wear and the left tip of the wing is slightly warped.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
