This is a 1970's Japanese-made United States Navy submarine patch for the USS Jack SSN-605, a nuclear attack submarine. The ship was built at Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard in Kittery, Maine in 1960, launched April 24, 1963 and decommissioned in July 1990. The patch is embroidered to look like a playing card.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970's.
SIZE:Approximately 5-1/4" in height and 3-11/16" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.
