ARTIFACT: This is a Flying Tigers Airlines uniform patch from the 1970s. Flying Tigers Airlines, originally the Flying Tiger Line, began in 1945 as the first commercial air cargo company in the US and later became military charter outfit until 1989. The patch is boldly designed in red and white and shows the snarling head of a tiger.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 3-9/16" in height and 2-7/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in silk/cotton threads with waxy backing.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch has some light wear, mostly along the edge.
