ARTIFACT: This is a Vietnam War (circa 1970) United States Army Advisory Team 98 (aka the "Black Tiger Commandos") pocket patch. The patch was hand-embroidered in-country (Vietnam). The patch shows the head of a ferocious black tiger set against three red vertical stripes. Advisory Team 98 was based out of Bien Hoa, and was known in Vietnamese as BIET-KICH COP-DINH (Den) .

VINTAGE: Circa 1970.

SIZE: Approximately 3-15/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton hand-embroidered in silk/cotton threads, cotton backing with sheen.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.
