ARTIFACT:
This is a hardcover copy of "Orders and Decorations" by Vaclav Mericka, a history of various religious, secular and military awards from the Greeks and Romans to modern times. The book has almost two hundred illustrations, many of them large color photographs. The book's navy blue cloth-bound cover has an embossed gilt image of the Order of the Golden Fleece beneath its original dust jacket. This edition was published in 1967 by Paul Hamlyn Limited of London.
