ARTIFACT: Vintage 1964 United States Olympic Committee Appreciation Award, presented to Whitefoord S. Mays Jr., according to Dartmouth College documents, Mays played varsity tennis in 1963 and 1964 for the University. The US Olympic Committee (USOC) oversees all aspects, including, entering and supporting all the U.S. teams for the Olympic Games, as well as, the Paralympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, Pan American Games, and Parapan American Games. The award plaque reads: "Presented to Whitefoord S. Mays, Jr. By The U.S. Olympic Committee With Deep Appreciation Dec 1964" and the bronze medal reads: "UNITED STATES OLYMPIC COMMITTEE" and the reverse is an image of the Olympic House.

SIZE: Approximately 10" x 7"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plexiglas, bronze, enamel, brass, and felt.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The award shows little wear mostly to engraved plaque. The Plexiglas is clear and award is in overall excellent condition.
