ARTIFACT: This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 83rd Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows a wreathed tower within a triangle above a fleur-de-lis and reads ASSIGNE ACCOMPLIRONS (give us the job, we'll do it).

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, maker mark, crest with 22M.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LABX10/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The DI shows some moderate abrasions and one post is slightly bent.
