ARTIFACT: This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 317th Engineer Battalion by Susco. The DI is a red and silver crest bearing the Cross of Lorraine, an oak tree, and a pick and shovel. The DI reads BY INDUSTRY AND HONOR.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts.

MARKINGS: SUSCO S-21.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LABX10/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some light abrasions only.
