ARTIFACT: This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 45th Medical Battalion by Denmark. The DI shows a variation upon the staff of Asclepiua battering ram with one snake enameled in red and green and reads STRENGTH CONQUERS.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in height 1-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts.

MARKINGS: DENMARK N.Y. D22.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LABX6/11 SABX2/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has some light abrasions with one small nick at the top edge and all enamel is intact.
