ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1960s Boston Fire Department retirement or honorary badge named to Edward J. Anderson. There was a Doctor of Education and former member of the United States Navy by this name who taught at Boston University and Harvard, and this badge could have been a presentation badge given to him. Or it could simply be a retirement badge for a firefighter of that same name. The badge is in gold plate.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Massachusetts fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEJP13 LAAEX12/13 SAAEX7/15

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge has very little wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
