ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of "e;Air Force: A Pictorial History of American Airpower"e; by Martin Caidin. The author's aim was to present a half century history of USAS/USAAF/USAF aviation, concentrating only on the aircraft that made "definite and vital contributions to the development of airpower". The book has several period black and white photographs, some that had never been published until this book came out. It was published by Rinehart & Company Inc. in 1957.

SIZE: 232 pages; approximately 12-1/8"e; in height and 9-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cloth-bound cover with tape, paper.
