ARTIFACT: This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 83rd Field Artillery Regiment. The DI shows a war bonnet and a Dragoon canton separated from a bear by a blue chevron. The DI reads FLAGRANTE BELLO (blazing hostilities).

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LBDX11/11

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The DI has virtually no wear.
