ARTIFACT: This is a German-made 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 77th Engineer Construction Battalion by Assman. The DI is a tree with its top half white against red and its green and black bottom half against white and reads LOYALTY AND SERVICE.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/16" in height and 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts with clutch-back catches.

MARKINGS: A (Assman maker mark).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. R/EJ93 LCFX10/11

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The DI has a few very small spots of light wear and one corner of the enamel has a small ding.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
