ARTIFACT: This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 101st Engineer Battalion by Wallbank. The DI shows a red cross against a field of white diagonally above the badge of the Essex Regiment and reads TENAX PROPOSITI (tenacious of purpose).

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height 15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts with clutch-back catches.

MARKINGS: WALLBANK CO.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. R/EJX94 LABX10/11

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only light and has a handsome tarnish.
