ARTIFACT: This is a 1950s stewardess hat badge for Aer Lingus, Ireland's national airline since 1936. The badge is a half wing and shows a medallion bearing a wreathed shamrock.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 2-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Diagonal Y-style pin with come-under locking swivel catch (swivel part of catch is missing).

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows some very small spots of light wear and tarnish; swivel part of catch is missing.
