ARTIFACT: 1950's – 1960's The Mason & Dixon Lines Inc. 19 Years of Safety Award in sterling. The trucking company was established in 1932, based out of Kingsport, Tennessee and became one of the largest privately owned carriers in the US. The center of the round, blue and white enameled pin features the company's logo in the center, Civil War Generals Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant shaking hands and on one side it shows a shield bearing the number "19" and the opposite side, a shield bearing the letters: "YRS". A blue enamel outer edge reads: "THE MASON & DIXON LINES INC. SAFETY AWARD".

VINTAGE: Circa 1950's – 1960's

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enamel

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screw back

MARKINGS: Maker's mark (a duck or bird) and "STERLING"

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows minor to moderate wear, nearly all the enamel details remain intact.
