ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of "United States Submarine Operations in World War II" by Theodore Roscoe, compiled shortly after the war for the Bureau of Naval Personnel. He drew upon work assembled by the Submarine Force historians and put together over 200 period black and white photographs, as well as many illustrations, maps and charts, along with a several fold-outs. The addenda include statistics on lost boats, citations, missions and enemy vessels sunk. This copy comes with its original dust jacket and was published in 1950 (third edition) by United States Naval Institute at Annapolis, Maryland.

VINTAGE: Published 1950.

SIZE: 577 pages; approximately 11-1/4" in height and 8-1/2" in width and 1-3/4" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Glossy paper dust jacket, clothbound cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: Third Printing March 1950.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII United States Navy submarine book collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX05 LAEJX4/14

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The book has some overall light aging with some dark marks on the outside of the bottom of the pages only (not seen on pages themselves); some light to moderate wear to the dust jacket.
