ARTIFACT: This is a 1949 Pan Am Airways certificate signed by S. (Stan) L. Doepke, a Pan Am pilot for thirty years from Washington State. Doepke passed away in 2004. The certificate was issued to Frederick H. Jewell for crossing the equator in a trip from to Accra to Leopoldville. It is fantastically colored and shows a rather jovial-looking Jupiter Rex presiding over the announcement. The certificate is displayed for the photos in a frame with wear but can be shipped without the frame.

VINTAGE: Circa 1949.

SIZE: Approximately 10-1/2" in height by 13-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed paper.

ATTACHMENT: Wire hanger on (optional) frame.

MARKINGS: Signature of S. L. Doepke.
