ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1940s UAW-CIO (United Auto Workers-Congress of Industrial Organizations) Local #508 union guide badge from Detriot, Michigan. The badge is numbered 508 and shows a gear logo in blue and white enamel at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: Various hard to read union marks on reverse.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a union collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAEJX99 LAGEX1/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge has moderate tarnish and some oxidation on reverse and all enamel is intact.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
