ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1940s National Airlines stewardess hat badge 1st issue type 2. The badge is nicely enameled and shows a white swallowtail flag labeled NAL against a deep red background.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16" in height and 2-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows light wear with a few very small abrasions to the enamel.
