ARTIFACT: 1940's – 1950's Allen "Authorized Operator" wing lapel pin by Balfour. The enameled pin shows a black shield-shaped center that reads: "AUTHORIZED ALLEN OPERATOR" in gilt detail against a black enamel background. The wings on either side are striped with thick red enamel and thin gilt lines. The wing is still on its original card which reads: "L. G. BALFOUR CO. ATTLEBORO, MASS."

VINTAGE: Circa 1940's – 1950's

SIZE: Approximately Card: 1-5/8" X 1-5/8"; Lapel wing: 7/8" x 1/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enamel, gilt brass, card stock, cellophane

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback

MARKINGS: "L. G. BALFOUR CO. ATTLEBORO, MASS."
